About us
The Foyer du Marin in Douala is a cooperation of the Eglise Evangelique du Cameroun and the German Seamen Mission – already since 1964!
The beautiful hotel and restaurant is located in the heart of Douala and well known throughout the country and due to its international guests worldwide.We provide for our customers and seafarers 26 rooms and a restaurant with nice terasse view to Mount Cameroon. The prices range from 30000XAF for the double room to 80000 XAF for the captains suite. Feel free to contact us for quotes for longger stays (depending on availibility).
If you are looking for a beautiful location for an event or celebration, we can help you with the planning and implementation. Throughout the year, we host a wide variety of events from family celebrations to events with up to 250 people.
Besides, the Foyer du Marin is the largest foreign station of the Deutschen Seemannsmission e.V. and takes care of the concerns of the seamen who call at the port in Douala. Here they can relax after long weeks at sea, enjoy the surroundings, swim, play billiards and contact their loved ones far away. Let’s face it, without the work of the seafarers, all of our daily lives would look quite different.
